Kaz Wellings headline text

...is a graphic designer, creative artworker and photographer with over 25 years’ experience.

Kaz started working with Apple Macs at the Yorkshire Post newspaper in Leeds in 1988, making her one of the earliest adopters of current desktop publishing technology. A wide-ranging career since has seen her working for both advertising agencies and in-house studios, with experience including packaging, printing and publishing.

Kaz has been a studio manager and managed artworking teams involved in large projects. She has been employed on confidential and sensitive publications and in many customer-facing roles. She can organise complete workflows from liaison with the client, interpretation of creative briefs and brand guidelines through to delivery of top-quality artwork and final files for print, whilst adhering to stringent guidelines and deadlines.

Kaz believes that there are no problems, only solutions – her attitude reflects this approach. She will relieve pressure on other members of the team by resolving issues and is not constrained by the normal boundaries of a role as an artworker designer.

Since 2003, Kaz has been self-employed and has freelanced for many companies across the midlands, north of England and Scotland. Having completed several long-term contracts for various blue chip companies, the good news is that Kaz has decided to return to ad hoc freelance and is available to work on short and long-term projects anywhere on the planet.

Then there are the helicopters – but that’s another story...
